Networks, Security and Multimedia Department
Founded in 1992, the "Networks, Security and Multimedia" Department (RSM) is the sole scientifically oriented department located at the Rennes campus of Telecom Bretagne. The teaching and research activities of the RSM Department cover all fields of networking, with emphasis on IP technologies, mobile networks and network security. Researchers of the departement are involved in the three following projects: GERME, PRATIC and SERVAL.
Several French and European research centres, French telecommunication manufacturers and operators and European companies are partners of RSM’s. Besides, RSM is associated with the Networking research teams of the other Schools in the GET, through RNRT and internal projects.
The Department is involved in two networks of excellence : NEWCOM (Network of Excellence in Wireless COMmunications) et EuroNGI (Design and Engineering of the Next Generation Internet).
